Hey, I’m Braden Vowles! I’m an artist, designer, and storyteller from Vancouver Island with a lifelong love for creativity. My journey started like a lot of kids in the early 2000s—watching Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man swing across the big screen and realizing that stories and art could be larger than life. That spark has fueled everything I’ve done since. I studied 3D Animation and VFX, diving into digital art, design, and character work, and over the past eight years I’ve built experience in graphic design, 3D modeling, branding, and visual storytelling. Along the way, I’ve worked with clients to shape bold identities and creative projects—but what drives me most is building worlds, telling stories, and creating resources that help others do the same. That passion lives under BV Collective, the umbrella for the three main branches of my work: Home Slice Creative – a studio for digital tools, design, and resources built to empower artists. The Cool Beans Podcast – a space for conversation, culture, and community, diving into the stories and media that inspire us. Innovative Comics – original worlds and narratives I’ve been developing for years, bringing characters and ideas to life through sequential art. Together, these projects connect art, storytelling, and community into one vision: creating work that inspires people to imagine, to create, and to share. At the end of the day, I’m not just interested in making things look good—I want to make things that matter. Whether it’s a resource that helps another artist, a podcast that sparks a conversation, or a story that leaves someone inspired, my goal is to create work that lasts. Welcome to BV Collective—let’s build something amazing.
